在 2022 年 8 月 5 日至 7 日期間，一班來自粵港澳大灣區的學生們參加了由香港特別行政區政府創新科技署（Innovation and Technology Commission, ITC）與香港區塊鏈學會（Hong Kong Blockchain Society, HKBCS）主辦，為期三天之 2022 大灣區區塊鏈奧林匹克（Greater Bay Area Blockchain Olympiad, GBA IBCOL）學界比賽。
Students from all over the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) have spent three days competing in a battle of the wits: the first-ever 2022 Greater Bay Area Blockchain Olympiad (GBA IBCOL), hosted by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) and the Hong Kong Blockchain Society (HKBCS), from August 5th to 7th of 2022.
為了提高新一代與海外人才的競爭力，並最終提高學生的就業能力，香港區塊鏈學會舉辦了一年一度的香港區塊鏈奧林匹克競賽，邀請所有香港學生提出應對現實世界問題的區塊鏈技術方案。隨著區塊鏈技術的迅速發展，許多曾經看似不可能解決的難題——例如高額交易費用、雙花、網絡欺詐、找回丟失的數據等——已經有了解決辦法。儘管現時區塊鏈技術主要應用在銀行業務和加密貨幣的挖掘，但區塊鏈技術不局限於此，其應用可以更加多樣化。香港區塊鏈學會鼓勵所有香港年輕才智集思廣益，開發非傳統的區塊鏈解決方案來解決現實生活中的問題。
In a bid to increase the competitiveness against overseas talent, and ultimately the employability of students, the Hong Kong Blockchain Society hosts the annual Hong Kong Blockchain Olympiad, inviting students from all over Hong Kong to propose solutions for real-world challenges with blockchain technology. With the rapid progress of blockchain technology, many things that once seemed impossible — such as high transaction fees, double spending, net fraud, retrieving lost data, etc — have taken a shift to reality. Although the technology is mainly associated with banking and cryptocurrency mining, blockchain technology can be far more powerful and diverse in its applications. The Hong Kong Blockchain Society brings brilliant minds from all over Hong Kong together and encourages the youth to brainstorm and develop non-traditional blockchain solutions to real-life problems.

Gold medalist LemonTeam from the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) proposed a car service and ownership record system called LemonT, which integrates various data sources to guarantee data integrity and disincentivize fraudulent behaviour, yet data ownership is indisputably always with the car owner.
來自香港浸會大學（浸大 HKBU）的銀牌得主GreenChain提出了一個供應鏈金融系統Paratag，旨在將ESG評分整合到中小型企業（SME）的信用風險評估過程中，以發展可持續的供應鏈金融系統。
Silver medalist GreenChain from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) proposed a supply chain finance system Paratag, which aims to integrate ESG scores into the credit risk assessment process of small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to develop a sustainable supply chain finance system.
拔萃女書院 (DGS) 銅獎得主 Adminsulin 提出了一個為解決劣質和假冒胰島素問題量身定制的供應鏈系統，將人工智能和機器學習 (ML) 相結合，用於模式識別、物聯網 (IoT)用於跟踪和隱私增強技術 (PET)，讓醫療保健提供者和患者就胰島素做出明智的決定。
Bronze medalist Adminsulin from the Diocesan Girls’ School (DGS) proposed a supply chain system tailor-made for addressing the issue of substandard and counterfeit insulin, combining AI and machine learning (ML) for pattern recognition, internet-of-things (IoT) for tracking, and privacy-enhancing technology (PET) to let healthcare providers and patients make informed decisions concerning insulin.
